Limited Warranty

This Limited Warranty is provided by Form Industries ("Form Industries", "we", "us" or "our"), a Normal Corporation company and the maker of Airform heating and cooling products. It is the express limited warranty referenced in our Terms of Use, and it sets out what we cover, for how long, and the remedy available to you if your Airform product has a defect. It applies to Airform hardware purchased from Form Industries or an authorized seller for installation in the United States.

1. Who and what this warranty covers

Form Industries warrants that your Airform product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service, when installed and maintained in accordance with our documentation. Coverage periods differ for single-family and commercial or multi-unit installations, as set out in Section 3. This warranty is extended to the original purchaser at the original installation address, and may be transferred once as described in Section 11.

2. What is covered

The hardware covered by this warranty includes:

• The sealed refrigerant system, including the compressor and heat-pump core
• The indoor and outdoor units and the connective piping between them
• Fans, valves, sensors, electronics, wiring, and onboard controls
• Any wall controller or thermostat supplied with the product
• Panels, casings, and mechanical articulation

3. Warranty period

Coverage begins on the date your product is first installed and runs for the periods below, or for the periods stated in the documentation supplied with your product if those differ. No registration is required. You do not need to register your product, return a card, or meet a deadline to receive the full periods below.

For Airform One split systems in a single-family home:

• Sealed refrigerant system and compressor: 10 years
• All other covered parts: 10 years
• Labor to repair or replace a covered part: 1 year

For Airform Solo and Solo Pro packaged units, and for any Airform product installed in a multi-unit, rental or other commercial property:

• Sealed refrigerant system and compressor: 5 years
• All other covered parts: 1 year
• Labor to repair or replace a covered part: 1 year

A repaired or replaced part is covered for the remainder of the original warranty period, not a new one. If we cannot verify the installation date, the period is measured from the date of purchase.

4. Conditions for coverage

Airform needs no refrigerant work between units, so installation does not require an HVAC specialist. To be covered, the product must have been installed and commissioned in accordance with our installation documentation and applicable local codes, by a licensed electrician, licensed plumber, HVAC professional, or Form Industries or an installer we authorize; used for its intended heating and cooling purpose; and maintained as described in the operating instructions. Where the product supports connected diagnostics, keeping it powered and connected helps us diagnose and resolve faults but is not a condition of coverage. Please keep your proof of purchase and installation.

5. What is not covered

This warranty does not cover:

• Damage from misuse, abuse, accident, neglect, or failure to operate or maintain the product as described in our documentation
• Installation, repair, modification, or relocation that does not meet the conditions in Section 4, including work not performed in accordance with our documentation and applicable codes
• Damage from external causes, including power surges or failures, water or flooding, fire, lightning, freezing, pests, or other events beyond our control
• Cosmetic corrosion of external surfaces. Airform is engineered and tested for coastal conditions, and corrosion that causes a covered part to fail is covered normally; surface discoloration or staining in salt-air environments is not
• Normal cosmetic wear, and consumables such as filters, unless they arrive defective
• Products whose serial number has been removed or altered, or that were purchased from an unauthorized seller
• Any Airform product used outside the United States or outside its rated conditions

6. How to make a claim

The system's own diagnostics report most faults automatically. You can also start a claim from the Airform app or through the contact details on this site, ideally with your proof of purchase to hand. Please contact us before arranging repairs yourself: we will arrange service free of charge for covered items, and this warranty does not cover damage caused by a repair someone else performs. Using another servicer or third-party parts does not by itself void this warranty. Once we confirm a covered defect, we will arrange service.

7. Our remedy

If a covered defect appears during the warranty period, Form Industries will, at its option and free of charge for covered items, repair the product using new or refurbished parts, replace it with a new or comparable refurbished product, or refund the price paid for the affected product. This is your sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty. Where a product is replaced, the replaced unit becomes our property.

8. Pre-production units

Units supplied through the pre-order and engineering-sample programs include enhanced support directly from the Form Industries engineering team, and their final warranty durations will be confirmed before general availability. Engineering samples are pre-production hardware and are covered by the terms provided with them at the time of purchase rather than by this standard warranty.

9. Disclaimer of other warranties

Except for this Limited Warranty, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Form Industries and its licensors and suppliers disclaim all other warranties relating to the product, whether express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Where implied warranties cannot be disclaimed under applicable law, they are limited to the duration of this Limited Warranty. Nothing in this warranty affects rights that consumer law grants you which cannot be excluded or limited.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Form Industries will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the product or this warranty, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages; and our total liability under this warranty will not exceed the price you paid for the affected product. Nothing in this warranty excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Transferring this warranty

This warranty may be transferred once to a subsequent owner at the original installation address for the remainder of the original warranty period. To transfer coverage, contact us at the details below with the product serial number and proof of the original purchase and installation date.

12. Your rights under state law

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so some of the limitations above may not apply to you.

13. Governing law

This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your state of residence must apply.
